Mahatma Gandhi 143rd Birth Anniversary Celebration

Today whole nation is remembering the great leader and Father of India Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on his 143rd Birth Anniversary and whole nation tribute him on this occasion.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in a small city of Gujarat named as a Porbandar, a coastal town which was then part of the Bombay Presidency, British India.

He was born in his ancestral home, now known as Kirti Mandir.His father, Karamchand Gandhi (1822–1885), who belonged to the Hindu Modh community, served as the diwan (a high official) of Porbander state, a small princely state in the Kathiawar Agency of British India. His grandfather was Uttamchand Gandhi, also called Utta Gandhi.

His mother, Putlibai, who came from the Pranami Vaishnava community, was Karamchand’s fourth wife, the first three wives having apparently died in childbirth. Jain ideas and practices powerfully influenced Gandhi, particularly through his mother, who was a devout Jain.

Today BAPU fondly remembered and tributed by present leaders of India like President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and also by BJP leader Lalkrishna Advani.

Other dignitaries who has also visited Rajghat today and salute and tribute to him were Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Defence Minister AK Antony and Chief Minister of Capital of India Delhi.

This ceremony was take place on Rajghat to offer floral tributes to great leader and we can say Legend of India ever Mahatma Gandhi or most popular known as BAPU.

While this was going on an all region prayer also conducted during this phenomenal remembrance ceremony and provide hearty tribute the great and legendary Freedom Fighter who led India towards freedom without violence.

So let’s tribute to the BAPU you will live on our heart forever :D.
